So Education is the Key?

After high school, you will go to college and graduate and find a "good" job, is what your parents and society tells us. So we do that and what happens...you get screwed. So I'm 2 quarters away from graduating..which is like 6 months...I'm excited, already told the family. I have not intentions of failing classes, in that case will set my graduation back. So whats left to do then to do well in class and proceed...oh THE MONEY! Yes...scholarships, federal loans, private loans, personal loans...all of that, to get this great education so I can land this exciting fashion career in NYC(B.S in Fashion Marketing). So I proceed to handle all holds so I can register tomorrow, but to my dismay...my wonderful financial advisor informs me....my loan for $10,000 that will cover me through the summer session til winter(graduation) did not go through....August 20,2008 she tells me NOW! when this matter was done in MAY....so she ever so gently pass me a loan app and tells me to ask for over $14,000 to cover me for the rest of my school year...wow...isn't it so simple..oh wait and if I'm not approved..just go ahead and get a co-signer...lol All I could do was laugh. I have 3 other sisters in college, my parents are buying their first home next month(they made an offer). What am I to do? So I ask....IS THIS DEGREE WORTH IT????...You can absolutely work your way up in retail, do an internship and possibly receive a job offer from the company. Should I even try...this is just the Bachelors....articles show companies are looking for even qualified candidates with M.B.A. But I will stay positive...its so close I can taste it...but it can put a damper on any student, who is in school, following steps in order to proceed to excellence.
